Maintenance Packages
UK-Wide Mobile Shelving Maintenance Packages
Planned maintenance, responsive emergency call-outs and flexible service packages for mobile shelving and roller racking systems throughout the United Kingdom.

Protect your investment. Minimise downtime. Stay compliant.
Our mobile shelving maintenance packages provide structured support throughout the year, helping organisations keep their storage systems operating safely, smoothly and efficiently. Packages can include planned servicing, system inspections, adjustments, lubrication, fault diagnosis, emergency call-out support and replacement parts or spares, depending on the selected level of cover and the terms of the agreement.
Cover is available across the entire United Kingdom for mobile shelving systems, roller racking, manual and mechanical mobile shelving, electrically operated mobile shelving, high-density storage, mobile archive shelving, mobile library shelving, healthcare storage, museum and heritage storage and mobile warehouse and industrial storage systems. Packages are tailored to the size, age, condition, manufacturer and operational demands of each installation.

Please note: Package features, response arrangements, labour allowances, replacement parts and emergency attendance are subject to the specific maintenance agreement, system survey, exclusions, availability and the nature of the fault. Full terms will be provided with every proposal.
Emergency support
Emergency Mobile Shelving Call-Out Support
Selected maintenance packages may include priority emergency attendance when a mobile shelving or roller racking system develops a fault or breakdown. Our first priority is to diagnose the fault, make the area safe where necessary and determine the most appropriate repair. Parts, specialist components or additional labour may be required — a repair on the first visit cannot be guaranteed.
What planned maintenance can include
A methodical inspection — every visit
The exact scope of each visit is confirmed in your maintenance agreement. The following checks are typical of a planned mobile shelving maintenance visit.
Mobile bases & carriages
Inspection of base frames, carriage alignment and load-bearing condition.
Track & floor-level checks
Rail wear, seating, floor interface and levelness assessment.
Drive-chain & mechanism
Chain tension, sprockets, couplings and mechanical drive components.
Handles & gearing
Gearbox operation, handle fit, backlash and effort under load.
Electrical control testing
Control panels, wiring, contactors and drive electronics function checks.
Safety sensors & stops
Photocells, floor sweeps, emergency stops and safety interlocks.
Lubrication
Lubrication of appropriate moving components using manufacturer-suitable products.
Alignment checks
Carriage squareness, rail parallelism and end-stop alignment.
Fixings & connections
Fastener torque checks, bracketry and mechanical connections.
Worn component ID
Identification of components approaching end of service life.
Operational testing
Full-travel operation, load simulation and repeat-cycle checks.
Documentation
Written maintenance report, findings log and prioritised recommendations.
Parts & spares support
Genuine, compatible and refurbished parts
Parts and spares may be included within certain maintenance packages or supplied separately, depending on the agreement and the type of component required. Availability can depend on the system manufacturer, age, model and whether original components are still produced.
Where original parts are obsolete, we can investigate suitable repair, refurbishment or replacement options. We do not claim that every obsolete part can be sourced or reproduced — some solutions require creative engineering and are quoted individually.

Many makes, many ages, one methodical approach
We work with a wide variety of mobile shelving systems, including older, discontinued and manufacturer-specific installations. Every system is assessed individually so that we can recommend an appropriate maintenance and repair strategy — whether that is routine servicing, targeted refurbishment or planned component replacement.

FAQ
Common questions about maintenance packages
+What is included in a mobile shelving maintenance package?
Inclusions vary by package. A typical agreement can cover planned servicing visits, operational and safety inspections, lubrication and adjustment of relevant moving components, fault diagnosis, written maintenance reports, priority technical support, and — under enhanced or comprehensive packages — emergency call-out attendance and selected replacement parts. Exact inclusions, exclusions and response arrangements are confirmed in the individual maintenance agreement.
+Are emergency call-outs included?
Emergency call-out attendance is included or prioritised under selected maintenance packages. Availability, response arrangements, labour allowances and any parts required are subject to the specific contract terms, exclusions, site location and the nature of the fault. Any work outside the agreed cover is quoted separately.
+Are all replacement parts included?
Parts coverage depends on the package and the agreement. Consumables and selected minor components may be included under enhanced or comprehensive packages. Specialist, obsolete, high-value or manufacturer-specific components are typically quoted separately.
+How often should mobile shelving be maintained?
Servicing frequency depends on usage, environment, age, system type, operational demands, manufacturer recommendations and risk profile. Many organisations opt for annual servicing, while heavily used or safety-critical installations often benefit from more frequent visits. We assess every system individually and recommend an appropriate schedule.
+Can you maintain older mobile shelving systems?
Yes. Older, discontinued and legacy mobile shelving systems can often be assessed and maintained. Parts availability, component condition and manufacturer support will influence the recommended maintenance and repair strategy. Where original parts are obsolete we will investigate suitable repair, refurbishment or replacement options.
+Do you cover electrically operated mobile shelving?
Yes — subject to an initial assessment of the system, its controls and available technical information. Electric mobile shelving typically requires additional checks around drive motors, control systems, safety sensors, emergency stops and floor sweeps.
+Can you cover multiple sites?
Yes. Bespoke multi-site maintenance schedules can be prepared for organisations operating mobile shelving at several UK locations. A single point of contact and consolidated documentation are typically included.
+Can you repair a system during a maintenance visit?
Minor adjustments and small repairs are often possible during a scheduled visit. More extensive repairs, specialist parts or additional labour may require a separate quotation and return visit.
+Do you work outside normal business hours?
Out-of-hours and emergency arrangements may be available under selected agreements. Any such arrangements, along with response targets and any applicable charges, are confirmed within the individual maintenance contract.
+How do I obtain a quotation?
Send us your contact details, site postcode, system type, approximate dimensions or number of systems, manufacturer if known, photographs and details of any current faults. We will review the information, arrange a site assessment where required and propose an appropriate package.
