What Makes Mobile Shelving High Density?
Conventional static shelving requires a fixed aisle between every run of shelving — in a typical archive room, those aisles account for over 60% of the total floor area. High density mobile shelving eliminates all but one of those aisles by mounting the shelving units on wheeled carriages that move along floor tracks. Only one aisle is needed at any time — it travels to wherever access is required. The space previously occupied by the redundant aisles becomes additional shelving, delivering storage density two to three times that of static systems.
Load Capacities
High density mobile shelving systems are designed to handle significant loads. Standard archive systems handle shelf loads of 80–150kg. Heavy duty systems handle shelf loads of up to 300kg.
