The Challenge
Rackstor UK Ltd carried out this Oxfordshire project as a subcontract installation for a storage-equipment principal contractor. The work centred on a heavy-duty base-and-rail mobile shelving system designed to make maximum use of the available floor area while providing high-capacity storage for heavier materials. The principal contractor has intentionally not been named.
The Solution
The installation team fitted and aligned the heavy-duty floor rails, constructed the mobile base system, and levelled and commissioned the mobile carriages. Heavy-duty shelving was then installed, with each storage level adjusted and aligned. The completed system underwent operational and safety checks followed by a final inspection.
The Result
The completed installation created approximately 100 linear metres of high-capacity storage. It makes maximum use of the floor area, provides flexible adjustable shelving, improves stock organisation and gives the site smooth, reliable mobile-base operation in a durable long-term storage solution.
