The Challenge
A large healthcare organisation in Berkshire required a high-density storage installation. Rackstor UK Ltd delivered the work as a subcontract installation of a 36-bay mobile shelving system. The organisation has intentionally not been named. Mobile shelving increases storage capacity by removing permanent access aisles and creating a single movable aisle exactly where it is needed.
The Solution
The installation comprised 36 bays of single-skin Delta shelving mounted onto a Rackstor mobile shelving base. This configuration is suited to records and archive storage, documentation and files, healthcare equipment and supplies, general departmental storage, high-density office storage and medical or administrative archives.
The Result
The completed Berkshire installation delivered 36 bays of mobile storage for the healthcare organisation. By removing permanent access aisles in favour of one movable aisle, the system makes far better use of the available floor space than static shelving while keeping stored records, files, equipment and supplies accessible.
